SmallTune

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen,

let's take a long deep breath .... aah .... ok. A lot of things have happended during the last two months. People came, people passed, and a new project was born: SmallTune.

It started as an Idea of a "Nice-to-have" and ended up as a player with all the necessary features you need. Today, I would like to take a look into the future of SmallTune, especially the new (implemented/planned) features of (0.2.2 / 0.3 (?)).

The development of this application is quite fast. It took only three weeks to produce the first, basically running version of SmallTune. I made some decisions concerning the structure of the app, I probably wouldn't do again. Well, sometimes shit happens. ;)

From the very first line of code, "turboPASCAL" is part of the project. He gave me a lot of useful hints and codes. Without him, SmallTune wouldn't be where it is today.

And there are also many, many testers out there, espacially at the german delphi community, DelphiPRAXiS.NET. Thanks guys. ;)

Well, enough "thanks". Let's take care of the interesting part, the features. What I'm planning is:

• Create an Options page to handle some basic parameters like autostart etc.
• Drag and Drop on the playlist (done!) and on the main window
• Hotkeys (done!)
• Costumizing Hotkeys
• Supporting the Multimedia Keys on modern keyboards (done!)
• Better URL-Management (being able to edit/delete entries)
• Make main window movable
• maybe more...

As you might see, there are still a lot of things to do... Hope, you'll like the new version, which will either be of 0.2.1 or 0.3, depending on the amount of new features. ;)
